Embajadores latinos de NHEO

Este artículo apareció en la sección de Neighbors of the City en la edición del Observer del 28 de febrero.

Last year, fresh off an MBA from UNC Chapel Hill, a native Argentinian named Juan Pablo Giometti started a nonprofit in Charlotte to help Latinos in the Carolinas start their own businesses.

He called it the National Hispanic Entrepreneurs' Organization, and while it's shown some early success, Giometti thought the organization needed a program to train potential leaders to act as liaisons and catalysts for business development in their communities.

So this month, NHEO selected 10 people, three from Charlotte, as participants in its first Ambassador Program. The ambassadors will go through 10 months of training in such tools as social media, small business development, public presentations and other aspects of entrepreneurship.
